My name is Roselle and I’m still working on my success story.
You heard that right. I’m young, I work at home on my PJs and I’m still going to make many more mistakes in life. Just like you, just like we all do. But the other thing you should know about me is that I love helping people and this blog is one of the many outlets I have in connecting with you.
I am a…Digital Strategist, Full Stack Developer, Toastmasters/Public Speaker, and a Storyteller.
The deeper story
Being the daughter of an OFW, I grew up appreciating the value of money. I’ve always been in the pursuit of earning money, of monetizing everything that I had or knew. My best friends call me “nawong ug kwarta” (only bisayas can understand) because I always talk about finance and business (It stung, but it was true).
On my first year of college, I started freelancing as a web developer and took on more projects that I could handle just so I could earn. At the same time juggling my academic responsibilities. But mind you, I did have some social life because I was also involved with student council organizations and I had very loving and supportive friends.
When I started reading personal finance books, I immediately opened an account in COL Financial and start investing! So yes, I did start investing in the stock market when I was in my second year of college. Not only that, I became very interested in business, too. Hence, I became even more motivated to start earning more so I could build businesses and properties in my name.
On my supposedly last year of college, I simply quit university and moved to an entirely different city: Cebu; giving myself a leeway of a few years to try everything on business and real estate before I go back crawling to my parent’s home (I hope not). Cebu enticed me in ways you won’t be able to understand. It felt like Cebu was filled with lessons to be experienced, people to learn from, and opportunities to find. As a full stack developer, I’ve worked with a few companies, most of which you can see on my CV.
So I’m still in my second year outside of my original home, and I’ll let you know what happens as I go along.
If you’re curious as to what I do…Currently, I shifted my focus to helping clients build their digital strategy and execute flawlessly. I’ve been a full stack developer for years so I know a lot about technology, but I learned that I will always yearn for interaction, research, and storytelling. So I have another awesome team dedicated for all those technicalities.
Also, every Tuesday, you’ll see me at Toastmasters listening to awesome speeches and sometimes delivering speeches I’ve crafted myself, too.
WAIT, before you go!
I talk a lot about finance, business, and personal development. And if you want to receive updates on the lessons I’ve learned from successful people, or the research I’ve spent nights creating, then please subscribe to my newsletter below, and you’ll receive them straight in your inbox. Thank you so much for your time, and I salute you for your interest (you wouldn’t be reading my blog, if you weren’t interested in success, too – unless you’re my mom or dad who will read and support whatever I write). I hope to contribute to your own journey, and I hope to learn a lot from you, too.
